Progress Report:
- 845 Design Group are our architects for the firehouse remodeling and improvement. Planning and project development underway.
- New mobile radios for all vehicles being installed.
- New personal protective gear will be ordered in 2024.
- New Aerial Ladder Truck ordered. Delivery expected in April 2024
- Two new Ambulances ordered. Delivery expected in mid-2025 (this delay is now typical of all manufactueres)
- Remaining projects will be undertaken in late 2024.

Prospect Heights Firefighterss Free Stuck Child

On Monday, February 19 the Red Shift's crew freed a child who got his finger stuck the telescope on the playground equipment at the Gary Morava Center. The crew didn't miss a beat. They were able to keep the child calm while they problem-solved this unusual call. Using teamwork, the crew quickly dismantled the telescope from the playground equipment. ... (Full Story & Photos)

Lars Anderson has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Prospect Heights Fire Protection District. He fills a vacancy that was created by the death of former board president Jon Tammen this past summer. Lars is a resident of Prospect Heights along with his wife and family. The PHFD welcomes Americo Bernabei and Marcin Kieta to its ranks. Both graduated from the NIPSTA Regional Fire Academy on June 9 after nine weeks and more than 400 hours of training.
